Meet Your Cashflow Coach, Sunya Folayan
Sunya Folayan is a passionate and committed Financial Wellness Professional and Cashflow Coach. In addition to being a business owner, she is a "Creative" (commissioned textile teaching artist/musician), speaker, educator, and published writer. She holds a BA in social work from Washburn University and an MSW from the University of NC at Chapel Hill. Sunya Folayan is a Certified Financial Social Worker. She is a founding member and Global Ambassador of the Financial Wellness Professional Community. Her past experience as a fortune 500 Employee Assistance Specialist and Trainer, a clinician in private practice, and as a Global Trainer in Domestic Violence Intervention has provided a solid foundation for her understanding of human behavior and the psycho-social and structural barriers preventing forward movement in the lives of women. As a social worker, Folayan is keenly aware of the strengths inherent in each of us, and sees those internal strengths as the fuel for change. As a commissioned textile artist and performing musician, she understands the power of creativity in problem solving, goal setting, and igniting the hope inherent in transformation and change.
A world traveler, she is a transnational entrepreneur and artist. Living in Mexico and the United States, she has created several streams of income through her online businesses, and collaborates with experts in marketing, sales, finance, and the arts in the United States and Abroad. These collaborative relationships empower her own development as well as her clients to live with freedom, joy, travel, and ease. Having overcome tremendous personal financial hardship after divorce, being a "Professional Volunteer", decades of single parenting, and the loving sacrifices made through parental caregiving, Sunya Folayan believes it is important to be gentle, forgiving, and non-judgmental of self and others along the financial journey of recovery, re-invention, and forward progress.
