Meet Your Coach, Sunya Folayan

Disconnection is the villain I knew too well. It showed up as domestic violence, as embarrassment, as marginalization, and in systems that perpetuate harm. I remember the day I walked away from my brand-new home with my daughter’s hand in mine, with nothing but our clothes, my purse, and my diamond wedding ring. The next day, I pawned the ring, bought an 11-year-old Volkswagen Beetle, and drove into a future I had to invent.

What I discovered over the ensuing years was paradox: healing through creativity while training professionals inside systems that often perpetuate harm. The arts became my healing process; faith and intuition became my compass- helping me reclaim joy and community. Creativity carried me across borders, allowing me to work, study, and travel the globe.

In the ensuing years, I built a multi-faceted practice of service and strategy, first as a therapist and non-profit manager, and now as a Sovereign Lifestyle and Cashflow Mentor.  I have helped women generate over a million dollars in cashflow, find their voices to stand in their own truth, create legacies, and heal from oppressive systems. From survival to abundance, my journey embodies the truth that reconnection to our innate power is possible.

Now as a coach and retreat facilitator, my work is designed as an antidote to disconnection. The retreats I facilitate are gatherng spaces of transformation and wisdom: community spaces of lasting and meaningful change. In my coaching practice, I work with women at midlife who are intentional about moving from the systems fueled by “hustle and grind” culture to a more intentional way of life that includes more freedom, rest, travel, and ease. This work restores power by:

1. Claiming sovereignty: tapping into our inner authority and breaking free from limiting beliefs and external messages of control.

2.) Reclaiming beauty through creativity and rebuilding compassion through service.

3.) Restoring and enhancing a healthy connection to our finances- the financial engine that powers every aspect of our lives.

The retreats I facilitate are not escapes; they are gathering spaces of transformation where ancestral wisdom, ritual, and community converge to create lasting and meaningful change.

My story is not one of victimhood, but of self- determination and faith. It is proof that healing can fuel justice, and that reconnection can change lives. In partnership, we dismantle disconnection together—and step into the fullness of who we are meant to be.
