As sky and water reflect the colors of autumn, so do we. Our outward changes reflect the transformation within.

My Quiet Offering for November: Gratitude as Daily Practice
Dear Sunya,
As November draws to a close, we pause to honor the season of gratitude. Here, and in places where you are, marigolds of Día de Muertos have faded, yet their fragrance lingers, reminding us that our ancestors still walk with us. Now, the rhythm shifts toward a shared remembrance of Thanksgiving-acknowledging atrocities toward indigenous and oppressed people, yet creating a time to gather, and to give thanks. It is our responsibility to create a world that uplifts equity and respect, and to notice the abundance already in our hands. May we carry this spirit of acknowledgement with the grace of gratitude in balance all year long.
Living in Balance
This month has asked us to hold both challenge and joy. To acknowledge what is hard, while rejoicing in the daily gifts: morning light, laughter, ritual, and rest. Balance is not perfection- I see it as presence. It is the practice of releasing what no longer serves while embracing what nourishes us. As a rest technologist
Gratitude as Offering
Gratitude is more than a holiday—it is a daily altar. Each word of thanks, each gesture of care, each moment of joy becomes an offering to our Creator, our ancestors, the land, and ourselves. As we leave November, I invite us all to carry gratitude forward into winter’s quiet, while naming three things-each morning and night- we are grateful for each day as a gentle practice.
Soulsync Conversation with Pamela
Recently, I was honored to join Pamela J. Thomas on her Soul Sync Sessions podcast, where we spoke about rest, ritual, and navigating life’s transitions with grace. It was a rich dialogue about living in balance while rejoicing in daily life. Due to the lag in taping it sounds like we are talking over one another at times, but due to Pamela's superb interviewing skills, the conversation was skillfully navigated and meaningful. Be sure and subscribe to her work. You can listen to the Soulsync podcast here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_qYnauc8_Q
Looking Ahead
Our retreats and my artist’s and caregivers' residencies continue to grow, and the waiting list for next September’s retreat is already forming. I am deeply grateful for each of you who carry this vision with me. Together, we are weaving a future where rest, ritual, and rejoicing are lifelines.
Leaving November
As we step into December, may gratitude remain our compass. May balance guide our days. May joy be our accessible lifeline.
I’m sending this with love,
Sunya
